We host a monthly series that focuses on a new topic each month in the company of guest designers. $10/month gets you an in-depth seminar and access to interviews, resources, and annotated layouts.

Get It Scrapped! is a resource with lots of information about the creative AND practical aspects of memory keeping.

It’s like the Home Repair book my husband goes to when the ice maker breaks and he doesn’t want to pay someone to fix it. He also goes there when he decides to do a project to pretty up the place.

The thing is — Get It Scrapped! is not a static resource like that book of my husband’s. We’re continually adding to the information here–so it’s like a magazine on top of a how-to manual!

Here’s a quick reference of how things are organized and stored here.

1. Excerpts of our 3 most recent articles & a link to all articles working backwards.

Read any one of them by clicking on the title. You can see excerpts of ALL of our posts beginning with the most recent and working backwards by clicking on the header bar for this area (It says “Recent Posts”)

2. Ways to get notice of new posts and news

I post a link to all new articles (and things on see on the web that I think you’d find helpful) on Facebook and on Twitter when they come out. You can also subscribe to our feed in a blog reader and get on our mailing list.

Right below this is a box where you can enter a word and SEARCH – try it! Search for “titles” and see some ideas for scrapbook page titles. Search for “travel” and see what we’ve shared about scrapbooking travel.

3. Category look-up.

If you’re interested in photography, click that link and you’ll see excerpts of all posts (with links to full articles). Same thing for art journaling or sketches.

4. Our on-going series

(like the Copics tutorials and One Month at a Time).

5. Our core content.

I believe that most everything you need to know in order to scrapbook falls into one of these categories:

* the PARTS of a scrapbook page; i.e., title, embellishment, photos, journaling, canvas. (These “page parts” are covered extensively in my free 12-lesson class–the latest 4 articles appear and you can click on the block header for more.)

* the SUBJECTS you could scrapbook; i.e., events, everyday life, yourself, travel, moments. (This block shows the last 4 posts on this topic. Click on the header bar for more.)

* the DESIGN PRINCIPLES to be applied when making a well-constructed scrapbook page. (This block shows the last 4 posts on this topic. Click on the header bar for more.)

* CRAFT & TECHNIQUE for construction and making awesome looking pages. (This block shows the last 4 posts on this topic. Click on the header bar for more.)

Click on the title of any of these articles to read it OR click on the bar at the top of each column to see excerpts of all articles in the category. These categories are also repeated over in the sidebar in #3.

Note:  I’m not saying there aren’t other great things to learn about and use for scrapbooking — I’m just saying that these are the essentials that I believe will get you recording memories efficiently and well.

6. Things we are selling.

Links to our current classes and our affiliate sales are in this area. You could also click on “STORE” in the very top menu bar to see our classes for sale.

7. General news and class-specific news.

8. Get a FREE 12-part e-course.

A new lesson is delivered to your mailbox every 3 or 4 days. What’s more . . . this class focuses on two areas of the Get It Scrapped! core content: Page Parts and Design Principles. Sign up now and get lesson #1 right away.

Thanks so much for taking the time to see how the materials here are organized. I’d always love to hear your suggestions and comments about what you’d find helpful — you can click on CONTACT in the very top menu bar to email me.
