Alfred Lord Tennyson didn’t say that…it was Charles Dickens in A Tale Of Two Cities.

Hi there Laurie! It probably was used in A Tale of Two Cities its been a while since I’ve read it and I don’t recall. However my research shows that the quote was first written by Alfred Lord Tennyson in his poetry compilation In Memoriam published in 1850.
